Pinstripe Calathea

Native to the tropical rainforests of South America, the Calathea ornata, or Pinstripe plant, as it is more commonly known, is a member of the Maranta or prayer plant family. The Pinstripe Calathea has lush, shiny olive green leaves with delicate pink pinstripes. This beautiful plant is the drama queen that you'd imagine, so be ready for a challenge. She requires a bright, humid environment, regular fertilizer and lightly most soil to be happy. Daily misting, or a pebble tray for extra humidity is needed to keep the tips of her leaves from being crispy.
